Cyprus has officially entered the winter season. The summer time ended on Sunday where we all here in Polarity Technologies Ltd moved our clocks and watches an hour back.
According to the EU law all countries of the European Union should keep observing time changes until the end of 2020. In 2021 the European Union plans to stop obligatory clock changes leaving each country to decide itself.
According to in-cyprus, ”Under the new regime, every member state will have the right to choose whether to continue with the daylight saving time throughout the year or keep standard time.
The practice of switching the clocks, also observed in countries such as the United States, was first introduced in World War One to save energy by prolonging evening daylight in summer.”
