TikTok is spreading like viral wildfire.
The relatively new video-sharing app allows users to shoot, edit and share 15-second videos which other users can like and comment on, just like in any other social media platform. But there is more.
By using filters, animation, music, special effects and other smart tools the users can make their videos super interesting and fun.
ByteDance, TikTok‘s Chinese mother company, initially launched Musical.ly which in August 2018 was rebranded as TikTok.
With over 400 millions of active users last year, ByteDance is now valued at more than $75 billion, becoming world’s most valuable tech startup.
According to The Verge, ”Bytedance is the first Chinese internet company with a significant, genuinely engaged following around the world, which means it’s worthy of serious attention.”
