Facebook Messenger Rolls Out Screen Sharing

As Polarity Technologies Ltd has found out from Social Media Today, Facebook will soon expand its screen-sharing options in Messenger to both Messenger Rooms and the mobile app.

Facebook has launched screen sharing in messenger desktop earlier this year, and now users can get the same feature on their mobile devices too.

Sharing memories from your camera roll, shop online and co-browsing social media are only some of the things that you can do with this new feature.

COVID-19 made a lot of people want to find alternative ways to stay connected, while apart. And this has “pushed” many tech companies -including Facebook- to come up with new products, tools, features and solutions.

According to Messenger: “Screen sharing allows people to instantly share their screen with friends and family one-on-one or in a group video call with up to eight people, and up to 16 people in Rooms, while using Messenger on their mobile devices. We know people are trying to stay connected more than ever, and screen sharing is the latest feature we’re rolling out to bring people closer together.”
