Day 3- The Last Day in Bucharest

Sunday was the last day of Polarity Technologies‘s trip to Bucharest. Our flight to Cyprus was scheduled for the afternoon, therefore we had enough time to explore the city a bit more.

An Uber picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the Parliament. We were impressed by the size and the architecture of the building. Right across the Parliament, it was another Christmas Market; Different from the one we went the day before. We bought hand-made Christmas decor  items and took many pictures.

Before getting back to our hotel, we stopped for a quick coffee at a small and cosy coffee shop that was located close to our hotel. The Baileys-Amaretto, was the best!

After we had our coffee it was time for us to return to the hotel. We quickly packed our things and left for the airport.

We felt happy and grateful that we were given the chance to live this AMAZING experience. The trip brought us closer as a team and we really enjoyed every moment.

In Polarity Technologies Ltd we have created an environment where we all work hard together to achieve our goals. Not only are we driven individuals that Work Hard, but we Play Hard too.  Below are some of our favourite perks that keep us passionate, motivated and engaged.

Bucharest – DAY 2

The day after the Big Night was a bit of a challenge for Polarity‘s team members. We all woke up with a big hangover… but was totally worth it.

We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and then we went for a walk around the old city. Most part of the ground was covered with snow and the temperature was so low that we could hardly breath. However, we wouldn’t miss the chance to explore the area since many of us had never been in Romania before.

While we were walking we saw a gallery cafe, called Van Gogh. It was a small & cosy coffee shop, decorated with paintings of Van Gogh. Apart from the coffee and tea that we had, we also tried the Papanasi (a traditional Romanian dessert that tastes like heaven!)

After enjoying our lunch at the Lacrimi si Sfinti, we got back to our hotel to get some rest and then went for a quick walk through the nearby Christmas Market, for some hot wine.

The evening ended with traditional Romanian dinner and music at the Caru’ cu Bere.

Here is What Happened in Bucharest – DAY 1

Last Friday the team and directors of Polarity Technologies flew to Bucharest to celebrate the end of year.

We departed from Larnaca Airport at 12:30 and arrived in Bucharest early in the afternoon. The traffic in the streets was crazy. We arrived to our hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, around 17:30. The hotel was located at the heart of the old city. It was modern, bright and super-clean. We checked in and went to our rooms to get some rest until the dinner time.

A couple of hours later we all met at the hotel lobby, where our driver picked us up and took us to Mesogios, a Mediterranean, fish restaurant where the dinner would take place. Outside it was freezing cold, but as soon as we entered the restaurant, we got warm.  The atmosphere was very cosy and pleasant. After a rich dinner, consisted of fresh prawns, octopus, and other delicious fish dishes, it was time to party!

We left Mesogios near midnight; As soon as we exit the restaurant it started snowing. We got super excited, as snow is not very common in our home city. We went crazy (the wine we had earlier helped a bit); dancing in the snow and taking photos.

The night wasn’t over. Bucharest is popular for its vivid nightlife, as I bet you already know. After arriving at the Beat Of Angels, we got convinced that Bucharest’s ”party city” reputation was well earned; The lights, the amazing decor, the gorgeous dancers, the great drinks and music made our evening, a night to remember.

Do CY Businesses Utilise Internet Fully?

Polarity Technologies Ltd was surprised to learn that not many Cypriot companies are fully utilise the internet.

Although 70% have their own website, only 44% of them have social media profiles.

The survey was conducted, by Cystat,  among 2000 companies, with ten employees or more between January and May this year islandwide.

According to Cyprus Mail, ” The data shows that while there is widespread use of websites by businesses, they are not making full use of the internet. Aside from the lack of presence by most on social media platforms, only 22.8 per cent employed specialised IT staff.”
